Dan Messina is an Executive Vice President at Health Advocate, a start-up company providing assistance in health-related clinical and administrative issues. Prior to his current position, he has held executive positions at several of the nation's largest and most important healthcare companies, Magellan Health, where he served as Chief Executive Officer, was the nation's largest mental health company serving 69 million Americans and a Fortune 1000 company. Mr. Messina has over 25 years of financial management experience in the healthcare industry, including Chief Financial Officer of Aetna U.S. Healthcare. Mr. Messina held a number of important positions with Aetna, including serving as the CFO and Head of Business Strategy for Aetna U.S. Healthcare. Earlier in his career, Mr. Messina held several financial and planning related positions at CIGNA. He began his career at Deloitte Touche where he was a CPA.
