Daniel Collins, PhD is the Henry B. Tippie Research Chair in Accounting at the University of Iowa. He recently was a visiting Professor of Accounting at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Dr. Collins has served on the Deloitte & Touche Academic Advisory Board, the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council and the AAA Executive Committee. He is a past recipient of the American Accounting Association Outstanding Accounting Educator award. Dr. Collins has published and presented on numerous topics including earnings management, accruals mispricing, corporate governance, backdating of executive stock options, and the causes and consequences of SOX 404 internal control disclosures.
