Conal Duffy

Conal B. Duffy is a Vice President at Alliant Emerging Markets, a leading insurance brokerage and risk advisory firm owned by the Blackstone Group of Companies. He has over 20 years experience in international project finance and development. Mr. Duffy has worked for several US Government foreign assistance agencies, including the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) where he was a Senior Investment Insurance Officer specializing in infrastructure projects, Africa and the Middle East. Over the years, Mr. Duffy has underwritten, brokered or worked on power projects in the Caribbean, Latin America, Africa and Asia. He is a frequent speaker at project finance conferences and his work on political risk, particularly for IPPs, mining and exploration and production companies has been featured in many publications.
