Council Member Biography

Cliff Clark is President and Owner of Freedom Energy Associates, a firm developing exploration and development drilling prospects in the US. Mr. Clark specializes in the use of 3-D seismic data to improve the quality of the drilling prospects. He developed several CMM and CBM projects in the Illinois Basin. He has worked for the IL and MN Geologic Surveys, and Chevron and Getty Oil in New Orleans. Mr. Clark was transferred to Denver, Colorado by Getty, and has worked virtually all Petroleum Basins in the US and several areas internationally (Russia and Italy). Additionally, he has worked and consulted for Kerr-McGee/Anadarko, Ensource, Sharon Resources, Norstar Petroleum, Davis Oil, Mountain Petroleum, Petrogulf Corporation, and is currently employed as Senior Division Geologist by Cohort Energy Company, a subsidiary of J-W Operating Company. Mr. Clark specializes in tight gas sands and shale gas in NW Colorado and SW Wyoming. He holds a BS in Geology and MS in Geophysics from Northern Illinois University. (This is me - Update Profile)
