Cathy Stauffer is the owner of Cathy Stauffer Consulting, a consultancy which advises executives on strategic brand positioning, retail and consumer strategies and trends, with an emphasis on consumer technology. Ms. Stauffer has more than 25 years of marketing and merchandising experience, leading and building brands in retail and consumer technology. Previously, she has served as Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President at Gateway Computers, a US $4 billion multi-channel PC manufacturer that also included the e-Machines brand. Prior to that, she held various roles including President and Executive Vice President, Merchandising and Marketing at Good Guys, a regional specialty retailer of consumer electronics, which she helped grow into a US $1 billion dollar business. At Good Guys, Ms. Stauffer oversaw all audio and video categories, including plasma and LCD HDTVs, video components, digital cameras, home and mobile audio, MP3 players, wireless phones and accessories.
