Analyses by Carlos Silva(?)
+ A slow network is not a short-term impediment for NIHD to sell Blackberries or service to businesses in general. + In the mid to long-term 3G access will be a commodity and something all customers will perceive as a given.
The competitive dynamics among competitive telcos (all others than AMX and TMX) in Mexico will be drastically modified by the planned Wi-Max/AWS/PCS spectrum auction and other related developments.
1. This strategy has been tried before (with success) by Palm 2. There are other factors at play: "creating value through scarcity" (selling to only one operator) one of the most relevant.
High penetration of credit card usage and not having implemented "calling party pays" will make prepaid services in the US a commercial proposition with very limited appeal for both voice and data.
