Carlos Alfaro is Partner of Argentina-based law firm Alfaro-Abogados. He has advised national-multinational corporations, buy out and investment funds, lending institutions and banks in large infrastructure projects (energy, oil and gas, mining, ports, etc.), regulatory issues (concessions, licenses, tenders) and compliance. He has over 25 years experience in different economic and legal environments (inflation, hyperinflation, deflation, major devaluations, and currency boards). Dr. Alfaro has legal, economic, and political expertise in risk allocation and protection. He has participated in arbitration cases involving construction of steel plants, furnaces, metals' exports, supply of machineries for oil exploration among European, American and Latin American companies or governments under American Arbitration Assoc., UNCITRAL or ICC rules.
