Council Member Biography
Bill Schauber joined Encore Associates Consultants in June 2003. Mr. Schauber is a supply chain and logistics operations executive with emphasis in procurement, distribution, logistics, import/export transportation and manufacturing. Previously, he has worked with Safeway and Winn-Dixie Stores, developing their strategic sourcing initiatives to improve budget of $1.9 billion for indirect materials. His purchasing experience includes commodities, packaging, capital expenditures and utilities. Mr. Schauber designs warehouses that support category management of slow moving grocery and GM/HBC items to retail stores. He is knowledgeable on physical distribution, planning and site development for frozen, natural foods, organics, confection, and perishable distribution.
