Barbara Fraser was Senior Vice President, Global Brand Strategy for American Express; she was one of the company's top 50 executives until her retirement in August 2006. During her five years at American Express, Ms. Fraser also served as Executive Vice President, Products and Chief Marketing Officer of American Express Financial Advisors (now Ameriprise); Chairman and CEO of IDS Life; and initially as President of the American Express Travelers Cheques business. Prior to joining American Express, Ms. Fraser worked at Citigroup from 1995–2000, holding various positions including Managing Director of International Investments for Citibank Global, where she developed strategy and plans to grow retail assets tenfold. She also served as the Chairman & CEO of Citicorp Investment Services and Citicorp Insurance Group U.S., with responsibility for Citibank’s retail securities business, involving branch, telephone and internet brokerage. Ms. Fraser joined Citibank as the Head of Marketing & Strategic Planning for the firm’s Investment Products & Distribution unit. Previously, she spent 24 years at Procter & Gamble where she was one of the firm’s top 100 executives. She developed her career through marketing and general manager assignments in Canada across all major product categories: paper, laundry & cleaning, and beauty care. (This is me - Update Profile)
