Balvantrao Balkrishna Desai is an independent consultant to the construction equipment industry. Mr. Desai has more than 15 years of experience in managing sales and marketing operations; and coordinating rental and leasing of construction machinery, commercial vehicles, industrial equipment, mining equipment, and industrial and marine generators in the UAE for Middle East, Australia, Europe, India, and African regions. He also has experience in formulating regional marketing, leasing, and rental strategies; and managing after sales service operations. Mr. Desai was until 2006, Business Development Manager of UAE, Middle East, Asia, and Africa at Rak Plant and Equipment. He also has experience in working as a business development manager at Hitachi Construction Machinery, managing Japan and Dubai liaison office; Al Ghandi Automotive Group, dealing for IVECO, FIAT, GM, HITACHI, KOHLER, and KUMHO, Dubai; and Rajdeep Industrial Traders, dealing for SKF, L&T, and DUNLOP, India.
