Averell Sherker, MD, FRCP, is Director of the Center for Liver Diseases at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. He is also Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at Georgetown University. Previously, Dr. Sherker was Director of Hepatology Research at the McGill University in Canada, where his basic research program included the study of replication and assembly of the hepatitis C virus. He has co-authored the book "Living with Hepatitis C – Everything You Need to Know". Dr. Sherker has participated in numerous consensus committees related to viral hepatitis and has published extensively in this field. (This is me - Update Profile)
