Asok Chaudhuri, PhD, is a Principal at Heritage Capital Group, a financial services firm offering investment banking & strategy consulting on a global basis. Prior, he worked for 26 years at CSX (largest railroad in Eastern US): parent, rail, intermodal, shipping, global ports, barge, trucking, and logistics units, as Senior VP of finance and corporate development, unit CFO & interim CEO. At CSX, he led M&A, operating performance improvement/turnaround, strategy & analytical studies, capital investments and regulatory economics. He also develops & teaches management courses for executives. He has been a Board member of TTX, a rail equipment supplier, and Innovative Scheduling, an optimization software company. He consults with investment firms, conducts seminars and workshops internationally on general business & rail/transportation/supply chain issues, for which he is regarded as an expert. He holds an MS in Physics and in Applied Statistics, an MS and a Ph.D. in Operations Research & Planning. (This is me - Update Profile)
