Mr. Anil Roy

Council Member Biography

Anil Roy is Partner at Grant Thornton, an accounting and auditing firm in India, where he is working since January 2006. He has over 25 years of experience with the private sector, public sector, Government of India and a Big 4 firm in India. Mr. Roy has worked extensively in banking and finance sector and his stint with the Central Bureau of Investigation (‘CBI’) makes him a combination of a banker and an investigator. While working with CBI as a banking expert, he was actively involved in investigating bank frauds and high profile economic offences, including the securities scam and tracing those funds; in investigation of cases of corruption and bribery in respect to public officials. Joining a nascent Forensic practice of a Big 4 Firm, Mr. Roy was instrumental in recruiting the team, training, managing their carriers and introducing and implementing new Forensic service lines – Supply Chain Integrity inspections, Corporate Intelligence and Pre-employment Background Checks.
