Council Member Biography

Amit Goenka is the National Director - Capital Transactions at Knight Frank India. Mr. Goenka heads a pan India team which assists clients in identifying opportunities, deal and capital structuring, raising funds, entry and exit strategies and creating value optimization models across all real estate and infrastructure asset classes in India. His typical clients include domestic and international funds, banks, HNIs, private equity and VC entities, developers, asset owners and other strategic stakeholders. He brings in over 9 years of corporate finance, investment banking and strategy experience. He specializes in structured finance, valuations and M&A within Real Estate. He has led transactions valued at over US$ 5 billion spread across Asia, Africa and Europe in diversified sectors like real estate, hospitality, automotive, logistics and transportation. He has assisted over 40 blue chip clients within India and Middle East in strategic acquisitions using Leveraged Buy-Out (LBO), Management Buy-Out (MBO), Intellectual Property Right (IPR), share-swap and other structured finance techniques. He undertook distressed real assets re-structuring, valuation, turnaround and sale valued over US$ 150 million. Acquired and re-financed multi-use hotel assets of over US$ 600 million using securitization, collateralized debt obligations (CBO, CLO, CMO) and other synthetic models.
