Alan Patterson, MD

Alan Patterson, MD, is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist in private practice. He was on the teaching staff at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, where he wrote many protocols for the residency program. In the past few years he has given lectures to colleges and communities on menopausal syndrome, endometriosis, prenatal care and other related topics in obstetrics, and gynecology. He has expertise in normal and high risk obstetrics, office gynecology with special interest in colposcopy, and major and minor gynecology surgery. Many of the lectures he has given were sponsored by major pharmacetical companies. Dr. Patterson also has expertise in herbal alternative therapy to treat many conditions. He has served on the P and T committee of Metro Health Plan, helping to decide which ob-gyn therapies would be placed on the formulary.Dr. Patterson alos has expertise in doing in office endometrial ablations and urodynamics.
