Dr. Al Barqawi MD, FRCS

Council Member Biography

Al Barqawi, MD, FRCS, is Assistant Professor and Lecturer in the Division of Urology at University of Colorado Health Science Center. Dr. Barqawi also serves as Director of Research in the Section of Urologic Oncology. He has expertise in urologic oncology and general Urology, primarily in prostate disease clinical research, early detection, novel treatment applications, and epidemiology. He is also serving as the Principal Investigator for several research projects, including benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), erectile dysfunction in men, and men’s health and testosterone effect. Dr. Barqawi has published numerous articles on these subjects and has presented at many national and international medical meetings.
