Afarin Bellisario is the Founder and President of Transtrategy, specializing in commercializing technology in semiconductor and advanced materials industries. She has over 24 years of professional experience in engineering and marketing, including executive positions at Intel, Analog Devices, BBN (Verizon), Fonix, Booz-Allen and Wang. As an executive at Intel, Dr. Bellisario accomplished an $18M IP licensing deal for GSM/3G technology, established investment strategy for wireless interactive games, invested in private companies, and conducted strategic planning for Intel's xScale processor family. At ADI, she led the team to market a number of ADI's mixed signal processor families, and secured major design wins with Ericsson, Siemens, Bosch, and Olivetti. Dr. Bellisario specializes in market and business assessment, commercialization strategies, product validation, eco-system analysis, global business development, financial modeling, and ROI and valuation estimation. Access to IP, will allow a set of customers who value customization consider Intel platform. Designers in CA are using the current generation of solar technology to create smaller, easy to install and modular panels which are afforadble for younger people, even those living in rental housing. Using existing technology while eliminating large cost of installation is an mportant step to spread the utility of panels. This will allow people to experiment with solra power without haveing to lay out thousands of dollars. Solving safety and integration problems with the grid will be the next.
