This violation lasted for more than five years—from late 2002 to the end of 2007," said Neelie Kroes, the European Commissioner for Competition Policy, in a statement. The European Commission is the executive branch of the European Union. According to Kroes, Intel held at least 70 percent of the worldwide market in x86 chips.

Sales of PCs to fall for the first time in eight years | www.ft.com
Although compound annual growth for revenue in business intelligence (BI) is expected to decrease, the usage of such tools and applications is poised to go through the roof, according to research from Gartner. One of the reasons for the expected slowing in revenue growth is that vendors are bundling business intelligence into infrastructure, applications and processes that end-users already work with, said Dan Sommer, senior research analyst of software markets for technology and service provider research at Gartner. Meanwhile, the usability of business intelligence tools is increasing, so it's becoming easier for end-users to make use of the technology. That translates into an increase in usage.
