Fujikura announced FY2008 1st & 2nd quarter group accounts at 11/4/08.Gross profits were five times corresponding ratio to the previous year (4.6 billion yen). Profit improvement of the electronic parts business unit(Optical fiber cable and Flexible Printed Cable) contributed to positive earnings. However, depression of cable & equipment business unit such as industrial electric wires is assumed by the construction slowdown in demand. And, Fujikura set the consolidated net profit forecast in FY2008 3rd & 4th quarter to 5.5 billion yen of 22% increase compared with 1st & 2nd quarter.This is reduced from the expectation of the past 5.5 billion yen.  I describe the company culture of Fujikura and consider common corporate value of manufacturing.
