Google Voice continues Google's path as a product house, put it on the shelf and "hope" people will use it. The primary failing is explaining why I should use Google Voice? The application is far from clear. Google's biggest issue is that it needs to figure out whether they're trying to advertise to me or get my credit card. While many people will likely sign up for Google Voice (it's free after all), few are likely to really use the service (some applications in the commentary) and fewer still are likely to use Google as their prepaid international calling card.
